1) Georgia Operation Military Kids
  Georgia Operation Miliary Kids is an organization designed to help military kids and families who attend Georgia's public schools and live in Georgia's communities (particularly off military bases).  They are offering two training sessions for Extension Professionals, Military Youth Services, Retired Military Volunteers, Community Leaders, or Community Volunteers as well as anyone who is interested in learning about military in Georgia and/or interested in becoming a Certified OMK Yellow Ribbon Event Instructor is invited to join us at Rock Eagle 4-H Center.
Individuals may attend one or both of the training sessions with free lodging provided on November 9th.

CLASS INFORMATION
:
- On November 9th from 9:30 AM – 3:00 PM participants will be engaged in an OMK Ready, Set, Go Training Session. RSG is a multifaceted interactive training that tailors activities to specific audiences.  The training provides practical information to assist participants in building community capacity and educating community members about the needs of military children and youth.  In Georgia, RSG trainings are provided for audiences including Career Technical and Agricultural educators, school counselors, Family Assistance Center coordinators, County Extension Agents, community leaders, and any individual who is interested in learning about military life and culture in Georgia and throughout the nation.
CLASS INFORMATION :

- On November 10th from 9:30AM-3:00PM individuals will be participating in a Yellow Ribbon / Operation Military Kids Youth Program and Curriculum Training.  OMK Yellow Ribbon Youth Outreach Curriculum helps equip volunteers to effectively direct other volunteers, and guide OMK youth activities, to meet project and life skill objectives.  The Yellow Ribbon Activity Guide accommodates certain age groups and to successfully navigate each stage of the deployment cycle.  Once individuals complete the OMK Yellow Ribbon Volunteer Training, complete the Cooperative Extension Volunteer Application, and pass a background investigation they will become Certified OMK Yellow Ribbon Event Instruction Volunteers.
